Who We Are
Our Story
Serving our community since 2013
The Carbon Valley Help Center was founded in 2013 with a clear purpose: to ensure that individuals and families in the Carbon Valley community have access to compassionate, local support during times of hardship, and the opportunity to move toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
This vision grew out of the Carbon Valley Network, a collaborative group of local organizations working together to better serve the communities of Firestone, Frederick, and Dacono. Through this partnership, leaders recognized the need for a more coordinated and accessible way to support neighbors in need.
As early as 2008, it became clear that many individuals and families were forced to seek assistance outside of their own community. With guidance and support from the OUR Center in Longmont, local leaders came together to create a dedicated resource for Carbon Valley.
By 2012, the organization had formed its Board of Directors and secured nonprofit status. With space provided by the Town of Firestone and the support of committed volunteers, the Carbon Valley Help Center opened its doors in February 2013.
Today, the Help Center continues to grow as a vital community resource—providing assistance, building connections, and helping individuals and families move forward with dignity and support.
